CNC Routing Foam

We have several CNC (computer numerical control) cutting machines within our factory. These state of the art cutting machines allow us to create foam cut to size to extremely precise specifications. Using computer programming techniques, we are able to input specific data which prompts our equipment to replicate foam cut to intrinsic shapes.

Our CNC cutting equipment responds to CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) files, which helps us to create more complex foam products. By offering this service, it is much easier for our customers to specify their exact requirements for an intended foam product.

Foam cutting guided by CNC technology will consistently exhibit cleaner and overall more professional looking final products. The same foam cut by hand would not consistently remain the same, even when performed by the most experienced of foam cutters.

Depending on the grade, this powerful foam cutting equipment is able to cut through up to 8lb density foam. This means that we are able to produce a variety of foam products using many different foam grades.

As with all CNC cutting equipment, our CNC routers are operated digitally by computer software. We use CNC routing to create complex foam products designed originally as CAD files. This allows us to create a finished product that would not be possible to replicate by hand. Our CNC Routers allow us to minimize product wastage, vastly increase efficiency and improve the overall quality of custom foam products.

We have the capability to design CAD (Computer Aided Design) files for clients. We can also use existing CAD files that clients send to us. Once a design has been signed off, we convert the CAD file into a CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) file, which our CNC Routers can read. From there, under the watch of a CNC operator, our routers follow the instructions inside the CAM file to create the given foam product.

CNC routing is ideal for more complex designs that require foam cut to size in vast repetitious quantities. As CNC routers are largely infallible, we are able to replicate the exact same design multiple times over.

This is especially beneficial for products such as foam case inserts, production line assembly foam trays, or other “foam cut to size” products that require intricacy.
